Internet FAQs
1. Why is my Internet so slow?
There could be multiple reasons for this. The satellite link could be full. If you have wireless in your house that's not secure, somebody could be on your Internet. If the problem is consistent, you may need to upgrade to a faster speed, if available.
2. Will there be faster internet in the future?
The short answer is “maybe.” We’re constantly working to improve our services and have companies looking into if and how we can make faster connections.
3. Why is Anchorage faster then here?

6. Why is it that when I talk on my phone my Internet works, but when I hang up, it dies?

7. When somebody calls me my Internet dies — why?
Your phone and/or your modem do not have a DSL filter connected.
8. My Internet speeds aren't as fast as they are supposed to be — how come?
Try a speedtest - click here. If that shows it’s good, then the satellite link maybe full. What if it shows its too slow? Call and see if you have upgraded your internet or not.
9. How come my game lags so much online?
Your Internet is going over satellite and needs to travel a great distance. That’s why games will always be around 1 and 2 seconds behind.
10. My computer has a virus what can I do?
There are programs you can buy to remove viruses from your computer. If you are unfamiliar with these, try asking a friend or family member to help...or you can bring it by OTZ and we can do that for you. OTZ charges $100/hr to work on your computers and we work on them when we can, usually within a week from when they are first brought in.
